An hour's drive and a 45 minute hike bring you to two spectacular falls: the lower one for swimming and relaxing, the upper one for jumps of 10 and 15 feet with experienced guides.
Nauyaca is the best waterfall in all of Costa Rica. The drive to the falls is one hour, followed by a gorgeous 45 minute hike that is worth every minute. All ages can do the hike, though there are uphill parts that can be difficult.
There are multiple falls here and both are spectacular. The bottom fall is perfect for swimming and relaxing, and the top fall has the option to jump 10 or 15 feet with the help of experienced guides. You can stay at the falls for around 40 minutes, spending your time there how you please before hiking down, which is much easier.
For those who do not want to do the long hike, there is a short 15 minute alternative route to this trail.
