Accessibility Statement

This site is built so that visitors using screen readers, keyboards, and other assistive technology can browse the villas, read about the area, and reach us like anyone else.

Our standard

CR Vacation Properties builds to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, with WCAG 2.2 additions applied wherever practical. In plain terms, the site is designed to be perceivable, operable, and understandable without a mouse, without sound, and without perfect vision.

What that looks like here

• Navigation, galleries, and forms are built from native controls: real buttons and links with accessible names, and a mobile menu that reports its open and closed state to assistive technology.
• The villa photo viewer uses the browser's native dialog, so the Escape key closes it and keyboard focus stays inside while it is open.
• Every form field has a visible label, and the contact form confirms what happened after you send it.
• All villa photography carries descriptive alternative text, written photo by photo rather than generated from file names.
• Text is set in warm ivory on a dark ground at sizes and contrast meant to stay readable.
• Hero animations respect your device's reduced-motion setting, and decorative motion elsewhere only runs when your device allows it.
• Pages reflow to narrow screens without sideways scrolling, and pinch-zoom is never blocked.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you what is not done yet than pretend it all is:

• There is no skip-to-content link yet, so keyboard users tab through the header navigation on every page. This is on our fix list.
• Some pages do not mark their content with a main landmark, which makes screen reader shortcuts less useful. Also on the fix list.
• Alternative text on images outside the villa galleries (tours and journal posts) has not had a full audit yet.
• The cookie choices bar sits at the bottom of the screen and can cover other content until you make a choice.
• Booking checkout happens on our booking partner's site, which we do not control. If it gives you trouble, contact us and we will take your booking directly.
