SJO international airport which is located about 2.5 hrs from Manuel Antonio. Your concierge will help to procure a shuttle or car rental.

What should I bring for my visit to Manuel Antonio area?+

Manuel Antonio is a beach AND rainforest destination, so prepare for both. A pair of sandals and a pair of hiking shoes or sneakers will be helpful. Overall, Costa Rica is a very casual country, so you don't need to over-pack. Light, comfortable clothing and basics like sunscreen and bug spray should do the trick!

What wildlife can be found in Manuel Antonio National Park?+

Manuel Antonio National Park, on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast, encompasses rugged rainforest, white-sand beaches and coral reefs. It’s renowned for its vast diversity of tropical plants and wildlife, from three-toed sloths and endangered white-faced capuchin monkeys to hundreds of bird species. The park’s roughly 680 hectares are crossed with hiking trails, which meander from the coast up into the mountains.

Is it allowed to take food and drinks into the National Park?+

We try to minimize the trash and impact on the environment and the wildlife in the park, and kindly ask all visitors to contribute. FOOD IS NOT ALLOWED. You can only bring natural drinks or water in recycled bottles.

Yes, Manuel Antonio boasts beautiful beaches such as Playa Espadilla and Playa Manuel Antonio, ideal for swimming and relaxing. Playa Biesanz is also a great option for families.

What activities are available in Manuel Antonio?+

There are more than 24 different tours and activities in the area such as, zip-lining, white water rafting, sportfishing, mangrove tours, waterfalls, ATV’s , Catamaran, Sailboats, Jet Skis, hikes in the National Park, canyoning, rappelling and many more.

NO! PLEASE never feed, hold, or interact with the wildlife Not only is it illegal in Costa Rica to feed the wildlife, but it can be very harmful to the animals, and to you, to feed or to hold them.

The water is potable in most of the country. However, we recommend bottled water to avoid unpleasant surprises.
